The Great Divide Campground Team
Lisa & Carmine Torella
Welcoming campground guests from New Jersey, New York and beyond, Lisa and Carmine Torella have been outdoor lovers since childhood. Their fondest childhood memories include building forts, hiking, biking and enjoying nature. In 2000, the Torellas bought their first trailer, hitched it to the back of their truck, and became official camping enthusiasts. They have been camping ever since, and are privileged to play the role of “ultimate hosts” at The Great Divide. At the campground, Lisa and Carmine relish the smell of fresh air and campfires, the fellowship of family and friends, and the comfort of camping coffee. After all, coffee always tastes better when it’s brewed in the woods!
Jan has been camping since she was a young child, and is happiest when she is outside. She enjoys being a great host and providing exceptional customer service, and loves spending her time outdoors. Embracing the peace and quiet that nature has to offer, Jan can often be found hiking long distances to get to “the middle of nowhere.” When she’s not working at The Great Divide, she skis, bikes, takes photos—and spends quality time with family and friends over a campfire and glass of wine.
Helen Mastrogiovanni & Necia Fusco
Helen and Necia have been friends since 1985, and campers for nearly 30 years! Their families have enjoyed many fun years of activities at Green Valley Beach, so it was only natural that they joined the staff as event directors nearly 16 years ago. As Great Divide event directors, they enjoy entertaining and interacting with fellow camping families. They love everything about camping, from the cozy campfires to regional hikes. When they are not working, Helen and Necia love to garden and spend every spare moment outdoors.
Timmy lives down the road from The Great Divide Campground, where he has worked for six years. His father used to work for the campground during its Green Valley Beach days, and Timmy has been coming to the campground since he was born. He loves the lake, and enjoys camping out on the beach. Timmy is currently attending Ramapo College of New Jersey, where he is studying graphic design. He plans to freelance as a graphic designer during the off-season so he can continue working at the campground. Timmy appreciates being outside in the sunshine and the breeze, and is looking forward to the latest campground updates and management changes. When he isn’t at The Great Divide, Timmy can be found drawing, watching movies and keeping up with his favorite TV shows.
Al has been a seasonal resident of the campground for six years, and has been working here for the last five years. He enjoys helping people, and loves the spirit of community at The Great Divide. Al lives down the Jersey shore, so he gets the best of both worlds during the summer: beach during the week, and woods on the weekends. When he isn’t at work, Al spends time with his family and coaches basketball for the Brick Municipal Athletic Commission. He feels there is nothing like The Great Divide, because it is like a small, private country club. His favorite thing about the campground is that the sites are spread out—so campers can enjoy their own spacious retreat without feeling crowded and cramped.
